Start 2021 Feeling Good!

So 2020 has come to close and although it was a difficult year for so many, let’s face it, it also brought us some clarity with so many things! Although 2021 won’t be perfect, we can certainly make it our own. You are perfect the way you are and if there are changes you need to make, it’s because you’ve decided that they’re good for you. I feel like there are so many great social media accounts out there helping women feel better about themselves so if you’re not feeling great about what you’re seeing, then unfollow and look for more accounts aligned with YOU.

I participated in an incredible energy clearing, online, using essential oils, it was very impactful and gave me the best sleep! Here are some immediate tips I can pass along that you can use right away.

  1. Take the time to take a few deep breathes
  2. Apply tea tree oil on the top of your head and in your elbow creases, this helps to clear the “noise”
  3. A great blend to use that can help with manifesting is: 5 drops each of Marjoram, Green Mandarin and Cardamom in a 5 ml roller bottle and then fill the rest with fractionated coconut oil, apply this to the inside of your wrist creases and heart.

This is such a great way for you give yourself some care and focus for the day! I wish you all health and wealth for 2021.

Your truly, Amy

Let’s Finish 2020 How We Want To!

I feel like we’ve all been waiting for this year to end! But I really want you to take this moment to think about what really happened this year. I see 2020 as 20/20. Who here has had more clarity? Or maybe you’ve realized what’s REALLY important. Or maybe it was just really tough and you’re looking forward to a fresh start. Either way, working on our mind is going to take us through the rest of 2020 to bring in a stronger better you in 2021. You may have heard this from me before, but if you aren’t incorporating personal development you MUST. I was so resistant to it for years and when I started reading and expanding my mind, that is what has grown my business and has given me the tools to really reflect on me. This has helped me with business, but this has also helped me in my relationships. When we have our mind right this will attract more flow and ease into your life. I’m not saying it’s easy, it has taken me years to get where I am now and I am still working on myself, but it has been worth the time and effort. If you’re not sure where to start, reach out and let me know where you’re at so I can get you to your next step in this process. We all need a little help sometimes and that’s what I’m here for!  I have some great and free resources that I would love to pass onto you!

I truly wish you an amazing holiday season and all the best for 2021!! May it be full of love and laughter!

Yours in health & wealth, Amy

Dealing With Stress?

Not only is this time of year normally busy and stressful, but I feel like this year is a whole new ball game! Keeping our stress levels down is very important as stress can lead to so many issues, mentally and physically. Emotional issues end up physically effecting us, whether that is unhealthy weight gain, heart issues or physical pain like tension headaches. Looking for some suggestions to keep your stress away? Read on then!

To help with tension pain Peppermint essential oil is very effective and can help relieve headaches if you end up getting one. But to keep your stress levels down, diffusing essential oils is a great way to help you! Here are some of my favorite calming diffuser blends:

1. 2 drops Black Spruce and 1 drop Cinnamon Bark

2. 2 drops Wild Orange and 2 drops of Lavender

3. 2 drops of Tangerine and 2 drops of Juniper Berry

Some other efforts I make is to exercise regularly, get a good night sleep and add adaptogens into my diet. To help me sleep I take a restful supplement and also find taking 2 drops of Vetiver internally helps so much, it really calms my mind and allows me to fall asleep quicker.

Here is a great link to learn more about adaptogens, how they work and suggestions as to what you can take to get them into your system.

End Of Year Mayhem?

This time of year can be very overwhelming, there are so many things to do and get done! We have to make sure we also take care of ourselves. This is a gentle reminder to take some time out for yourself, because YOU matter! Something that I do and that makes such a big difference to my well-being is a hot Epsom salt bath with Lavender oil. It completely rejuvenates me and helps in detoxing my body from stress, I actually feel it melt away!

The great thing about this time of year is the reflection we do about what has happened but also what is to come. A new year can bring hope and excitement but it can also bring on anxiety about “what if” doesn’t happen etc. This is where tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique came in handy for me. This is a great technique to get rid of that baggage we might carry around and the thoughts that creep in that steal away our happiness and what we truly desire. When I was introduced to tapping for the first time, I cleared so much that I doubled my sales within 3 days and hit my goal for the month just in time! That was very eye opening as to what tapping can do for my subconscious. Imagine what it can do for  you!

Make It Happen!

Dreams come in many forms, but they don’t happen unless we make it happen! We have to take the steps in the right direction, find that path and keep going, even if we are unsure of where it might lead. I never sought out to write a book or become a published author, but then came an opportunity to do so with Golden Brick Road Publishing and to write a book called I’m 30, Now What?. I didn’t know or think I had much to offer, but I have realized we ALL have our own amazing story to tell. What came out of being an author is what I’m most excited about.

Full disclosure, I love being in front of people, I have been public speaking (for fun) since fifth grade and acting on stage since seventh and love it to this day. I get shaky (a mix of nerves and excitement) and there’s an adrenaline rush that occurs right before I hit the stage and that is my favorite kind of high. I was asked to be a part of a fundraiser for a shelter in Toronto that helps women escape domestic violence, not only to donate a few books towards the cause but also to speak. This was the first time I was asked to be a part of an event, I didn’t go looking for it! What’s interesting is that when our book was released the proceeds went to UNWomen, which is also a similar but international cause, so I was elated to be a part of something directly in my community. Doing what I love while serving my community?? YES PLEASE!

When I was trying to figure out what to talk about, I decided to choose empowerment. I feel like in today’s climate women need to be reminded how amazing and empowered we are and can be. This is also a theme throughout my book. It’s about women having choices, which I completely align with being empowered as well, WE CAN DO AND BE ANYTHING. This event was about getting women back on their feet. It was full of great music, dancing and eating delicious food! It was put on by an event planning company called Nic Nacs Events, as this particular shelter once housed the owner. I didn’t know this until she spoke about it and I couldn’t believe it! This woman is a force to be reckoned with! She just had her FIFTH child, started this business not that long ago and still made sure she was able to give back to a place that helped her rise up. Now, that is empowering! I sat in awe of this strong woman and ever so thankful she was introduced to me. I was there to empower and speak to these women, but listening to her and seeing what she has done was monumental. You know how people say you are the best of the five people you surround yourself with? Yeah, she’s one of those people you want to surround yourself with!

Just my opinion….

As you may be aware of, Ontario’s Liberal government has rolled out a new plan for prescriptions to children and youth under the age of 25. This, my friend’s, enrages me. The reason being? There are a few. I’m not against some prescriptions, I have used them for myself and my kid’s in the past, when it was really necessary, but now that it’s free, will our kid’s be over prescribed? Now you won’t have to think twice about whether or not to fill that prescription because it’s free! Don’t we have enough of an issue with prescribed medication, like addiction and antibiotic resistant bugs? Let’s make it even MORE accessible and start them nice and young (lots of sarcasm going on there). The problem I have with most prescribed medications is because they are used as a band aid solution. There really needs to be funding for things like Naturopathic doctor’s and other holistic practices that can actually help you with the source of the problem which could in turn make that symptom go away. When I was diagnosed with osteo-arthritis there were a couple of meds I could have gone on, but all they did was decrease pain (actually they said they MIGHT decrease the pain), harm my kidney’s and liver and therefore could potentially give me problems and other health issues in the long run. Instead, I was on a completely safe and natural supplement and used food as a way of feeling better and it worked! Imagine that?? And I’m so thankful because with food, which was the main source of pain relief for me, actually made me healthier! I’m hardly at the doctor’s spending my provinces’ money.

I feel like the Wynne government is so short sighted. Why make a population dependent on prescribed medication? In the long run wouldn’t that create other problems as they age? Ohhhh wait a second, maybe this is what’s so appealing to big pharma and why they would strike a deal with our lovely government (sorry, there’s a lot of sarcasm going on). Once those kid’s reach 25, they’re going to have to keep paying to get what they are dependent on. It looks like those extra earnings the pharma companies are going to get before they turn 25 will just keep on coming. Well played!

The reason I don’t agree with this is because there are families who are struggling with just having a roof over their head and do not have access to healthy food. These are very important in preventing the need for prescription medications. We need more funding for things like affordable food, we should be helping our farmers not these giants. This is costing Ontario $465 million!! Imagine what we could do with that, instead it will be to giving these big wigs an increase in their yearly bonus. Did you know that there is NO room in the budget to go towards affordable housing?? I just feel like Wynne’s priorities are not in the right order. To make it clear, I really hope that the people who truly need prescriptions for their kid’s can have access to them, no matter their income, but let’s try as parent’s to use other ways to heal and help our kid’s stay healthy and happy long term, because our government is not going to do it for us.

Merry Mind

While I was thinking of what I wanted my company to be called, I couldn’t help but relate pain and health to my mind and how the ill effects of those things can influence it so much. I haven’t really told anyone about this because I have a pretty strong exterior, but the year before my surgeries (and even a couple of years before that) were my most difficult mentally. Just thinking about this makes me tear up. I can’t tell you the amount of times I have gone into my room or locked myself in the bathroom for a good cry because of the pain and the way it overtook my mind. Ok, now I’m doing my ugly cry. It is so hard to think about the way I treated my family because I couldn’t deal with everything at once. Having young children while dealing with osteo-arthritis in my hips is a whole other level of insanity that parenting already brings. Our mind is so powerful in how we function everyday and being sick or in pain makes it difficult to even accomplish simple tasks like playing with your children and getting the kitchen cleaned up from breakfast. Not to mention the impatience. My dad was very impatient when I was growing up and my mom said it was because he was in pain (we have a genetic disorder called Collagenopathy 2A1) and I never really understood what that meant until about 4 years ago. It truly over powers everything else. Once my father got his hip replaced he was a new man! It is SO hard to deal with kid’s and even everyday tasks in a positive mental state. For the first time 2 weeks ago in about 4 years, my husband Ben came home and said “why are you in such a good mood?” I think that says a lot and it sucks knowing how terrible I must have been all these years. I told him it’s because I feel “normal”. I had no reason to be upset, depressed or frustrated. My son Will said last night, we haven’t fought in awhile. Wow. It was that bad. As awful as that was to hear, I’m so grateful it’s in the past. All I can do is go forward from here and I’m forever thankful that I can live pain free and that I can share my journey with you all and others who need the support and hope. I also want to say that I will be forever thankful to those who stepped in to help me, whether it was with the kid’s, emptying my dishwasher when things were impossible or helping me pack when we were moving  (among many other things). I don’t know what I would have done without you, you all know who you are and I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! I feel like there’s nothing I can do that could repay for what you have done for me. I do have to give a shout out to my amazing parent’s and in-laws, you are the best parent’s we could have ever asked for!!

My Journey

I feel like I have been searching for a greater purpose and I believe that I found it! I truly want to help people live a full and happy life. I lived with hip arthritis for a very long time, but with the help of natural remedies I was able to manage that pain for about 4 years until I had 2 hip replacements in 2016. I have a genetic disorder called Collagenopathy 2A1, this is very rare and causes early onset arthritis. Although my hips feel much better now that I have new ones, I recently found out that my shoulders are quite arthritic. Thankfully the pain is not as bad, probably because I don’t have to walk on my hands! I also know that I don’t want them to get worse and that I needed to do something about it. When my friend told me her arthritis was gone because of using a new organic product line I had to try it out for myself! As I have been learning many people suffer from joint pain, but with the use of my products have been able to get rid of that pain! My shoulders feel fine these days and I have not had any flare ups since using these products! I also sleep so deeply that I have WAY more energy during the day and to top it off I have even lost some weight! That will help my hips last longer too! It’s amazing what high quality nutrition can do for your body. These products are changing lives and that’s why I HAD to partner up with them! I need to reach those who need these products! Thank you so much for reading and taking a look at my website, if you have any questions to see if or how I can help you please click on Contact and submit your query. Here’s to living a pain free and healthy life together!

How Can Amino’s Help?

I am a pretty skeptical person and anyone who knows me knows I do my due diligence, whether that be a product or something I read on Facebook. I was introduced to hospital grade amino’s to help with the healing from my last surgery. For some reason my second surgery was not only more painful during recovery but I could not get rid of my limp! The key to getting rid of it was to build more muscle, around my glutes and outer thighs and I guess it just wasn’t happening as quickly as the first. I decided I had to do something extra and so I started on what are called “Super Amino’s” (they really are!) Within 3 days my limp significantly improved and now 2 weeks later you would hardly notice it! Sure, sometimes if I take on too much and then sit for awhile I look a little stiff when I get up, but that’s the worst of it. Once I walk it off I look just like everybody else walking down the street! I cannot tell you how happy I am to feel “normal” again and not get stared at!

Amino acids are the building blocks for new tissues and help with the repair of your body’s cells. They also build new muscle cells, which is exactly what I needed help with. Unfortunately, our body cannot naturally make the essential amino acids which are, Isoleucine, Leucine, Valine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine and Tryptophane. That’s why it’s important to get them through supplements or diet. If you need a big boost then supplementation is the best way to go!
